AUSTIN—A local Cybertruck owner offered a detailed explanation this week for the steadily widening panel gaps on his vehicle, describing the phenomenon as a misunderstood design advantage.

Standing beside the truck, the owner gestured confidently at a series of uneven seams along the stainless steel body, explaining that the gaps were “doing exactly what they’re supposed to be doing.”

“People think tight panels mean quality,” he said. “But that’s old thinking. This thing is designed for airflow. Passive cooling. The truck basically manages itself if you let it. It’s part of Elon’s genius.”
