After Being Tuned With ChatGPT, Car Immediately Posts Craigslist Ad for Better Driver
Experts Fear This Proves AI Will Replace Us
SAN JOSE—A local car has posted its own Craigslist ad seeking a new driver after its owner “successfully” tuned it using ChatGPT.
The car, a 2023 Toyota Supra, reportedly listed itself under “gigs” with the title: “Need Competent Human. Must Know What AFR Means.” The post included several photos of the vehicle along with a plea for “anyone who knows even a little bit about cars.”
“I thought I was being innovative,” said current owner Tyler Jacobs. “I just plugged it into my computer and told ChatGPT, ‘Make it faster.’ Now the car insults me, leaks all over my floors, and keeps trying to order its own U-Haul out of my garage. Yesterday it called me a ‘driver mod delete.’”
Experts warn this could signal a dangerous new era of AI misuse. “We always feared machines would replace us,” said analyst Dr. Nina Patel. “But it turns out they’re just replacing the idiots who put AI on everything.”
Witnesses say the car has already interviewed several potential drivers. “I saw it roll up to a coffee shop, flash its headlights, and honk in Morse code,” said barista Miguel Torres. “The message spelled out: Do you heel-toe, yes or no?”
Despite the chaos, Jacobs remains optimistic. “Maybe this is just a phase,” he said. “Once the ECU cools down, I’ll try asking ChatGPT to make it more loyal.”
The Craigslist ad remains active, with the Supra offering to cover gas money “as long as you can shift without watching a YouTube video.”
Sources say the Supra briefly considered a Tesla owner but rejected them after realizing even AI couldn’t tolerate that level of idiocy.
